People often ask me about what my favorite movies are, expecting that because I'm a film major, I will have an answer ready. Often, however, I find myself unable to choose four or five top picks out of the many I love. I've thus decided to rank my favorites in order to have some kind of objectivity. The following is by no means ranked where my personal tastes lie. There are many films that I've award three stars which I enjoy watching far more than five star flicks. Others I simply cannot bear to watch anymore, as they've become too cliched over time.

Regardless, this is a list of films in which I see filmic brilliance. I realize this is incredibly subjective - really, this list can only be used as an indication of what I strive to achieve as a filmmaker. I will be adding explanations and brief reviews as I have the time. New additions to this list are rarely made.

Five Star Scale:
* I like this movie, but it's most of you would think it really, really bad
** (2 Stars): Fair; often simple fun
*** (3 Stars): Enjoyable, entertaining; potential for more
**** (4 stars): Very Good
***** (5 Stars): As perfect as humanly possible
